The Amazon Survey
The Amazon Survey is the dream of one Volvo enthusiast to create a database on our favorite cars, the Volvo Amazon. How were they made? As we all know, Volvo has not always operated on a strict year-to-year model basis. The workers simply put whatever was at their stations on the cars as they came by, leaving us to wonder at what chassis number a certain feature appeared, changed or disappeared. How many are on the road today and with what modifications? All this and more will become clear as Amazon enthusiasts such as yourself take this fun survey! I will be publishing the results as I go along and welcome any questions, comments or help. Thank you.

About the Author

Picture
David Blaha-Nelson was born in 1989 in Austin, Texas. Growing up there, he gained a healthy respect for classic Volvos from his father, who owned a 144 from 1971 until 2006 (totaled and replaced by a 1966 122ES) and a 1962 P-1800 since the early 1980's. David's first car was a 1964 122S admired daily walking to school. He has since bought a decrepit 1961 122S that he plans to restore. The author is currently studying abroad for a year in (guess where!) Sweden.

As time goes on, further surveys may be made on the PV 444/544, the 140/160 series and the P-1800.
